Latchkey Program
Zion’s Latchkey program offers a safe, nurturing environment for children before and after school hours. Our program provides engaging activities, homework help, and plenty of time for play and social interaction. Our dedicated staff ensures that each child feels supported and valued, fostering an atmosphere of creativity and friendship. With a focus on building confidence and independence, Zion Latchkey is committed to enhancing the well-being and development of every child in our care.
Bussing is provided for all students who attend Elida Local Schools.
We offer an extended Latchkey program for the mornings where there are scheduled or unscheduled delays.
Our Zion staff members will be here to watch your child on the days where there is no school whether it’s a holiday, a teacher in service day, or a cancellation due to weather. In the event of severe weather, Zion childcare may also be closed so please be sure to check hometownstations.com for closing updates.
Please note that if your child attends on any cancellation day an additional $27 fee will be added to your weekly invoice.
Latchkey Summer Program
The Latchkey Summer Program at Zion Childcare offers a wonderfully fun and engaging environment for children to explore, learn, and forge new friendships during the summer months. Designed for school-aged students who have completed grades K-6, the program includes a diverse variety of activities such as arts and crafts, exciting outdoor games, and hands-on educational projects that actively encourage creativity and physical activity.
Our staff ensures a safe and nurturing atmosphere where children can thrive while also developing essential social skills among their peers.
With the Zion Childcare Latchkey Summer Program parents can have peace of mind knowing their children are in good hands, happily enjoying a summer filled with laughter, joy, and meaningful learning experiences.
During the summer months Zion Childcare only offers full-time enrollment unless permission is received from the director in advance.
*Please note registration begins in April and spots are limited. Enrollment is first offered to students who are enrolled in our Latchkey program during the school year. After enrollment is complete with current families, spaces will be opened up to all other families.
